Teeth whitening instructions

Hi there! Ready to brighten up your smile? Follow these simple steps to get the best results from your whitening kit. 😊

1. Where to Apply the Gel
  • Focus on the front teeth only.
  • Apply the gel from premolar to premolar on the outer (buccal) surfaces.
  • No need to whiten the molars—they are usually not visible when you smile!
2. Preparing for Application
  • Dry your trays and teeth before applying the gel. This helps the gel stick better and work more effectively.
  • Use a small, rice-sized amount of gel for each tooth, from premolar to premolar.
3. Wearing the Trays
  • Wear the trays overnight for the best results.
  • For initial treatment, wear the trays 14 nights in a row to see the full effect.
4. Storing Excess Gel
  • Keep any leftover gel in a cool, dry place.
  • You can touch up your whitening every 4–6 months if you notice your teeth starting to yellow again.
5. What If You Feel Sensitivity?
  • It’s normal to experience a little sensitivity. Here’s how to manage it:
    • Switch to wearing the trays on alternate nights instead of every night.
    • For extra relief:
      • Put a small amount of Colgate Sensitive or Sensodyne toothpaste into the trays.
      • Wear the trays with the toothpaste for 1 minute in the morning.
Quick Tips for Success:
  • Avoid foods and drinks that stain, such as coffee, tea, and red wine, during your whitening treatment.
  • Brush your teeth before wearing the trays, but wait 30 minutes after removing them to eat or drink.
